Jaipur: Jaipur,also known as the "pink city" because of a number of places of pink color terracotta, is the capital city of vibrant state Rajasthan. The city was founded in year 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, who was the ruler of city Amber.The old city is surrounded by the strong walls and florid gates.This was the first planned city of India. The spectacular forts and monuments like the Amber fort,the Jaigarh fort, the Nahargarh fort,the palace of wind-Hawa Mahal,the scenic beauty of the Jal Mahal,the City palace, the architectural astronomical instrument of historic time -the Jantar Mantar, the famous Sawai Man Singh Stadium, and a lot more places are there to explore in the city.
Jhanshi: Jhansi city, situated between the rivers Pahunj and Betwa is a symbol of bravery, courage and self respect. Jhansi was a stronghold of the Chandela kings. Balwant Nagar was the name of this place. But in 11th. century Jhansi lost its importance. In 17th. century under Raja Bir Singh Deo of Orchha Jhansi again rose to prominence. Raja Bir Singh Deo had good relations with the mughal emperor Jehangir. In 1613 Raja Bir Singh Deo constructed the Jhansi fort. He died in 1627. After his death his son Juhar Singh succeeded him.
Orchha: Orchha is a very old and beautiful town built in the year 1501 by Maharaja Rudra Pratap Singh. This place showcases an exquisite range of archaeological monuments. The ambiance of the town is very pleasing and the location on the banks of river Betwa also adds to the serenity of the town. Though the word 'Orchha' means a hidden place, this town is blessed with an abundance of natural beauty. There are numerous ancient temples that date back to the 16th and 17th century. Places to Visit : Jahangir Mahal, Chhatris, Jehangir Mahal, Orchha Fort and Chaturbhuj Temple.
Khajuraho: Khajuraho group of monuments are located in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Khajuraho, the ancient Kharjjura-vahaka represent today a distinct pattern of art and temple architecture of its own reminding one of the rich and creative period it witnessed during the Chandella rule. It was the principal seat of authority of the Chandella rulers who adorned it with numerous tanks, scores of lofty temples of sculptural grace and architectural splendour.
Varansi: Varanasi, or Benaras, (also known as Kashi) is one of the oldest living cities in the world. Varanasi's Prominence in Hindu mythology is virtually unrevealed. Considered as the abode of Lord Shiva, Varanasi is situated on the banks of River Ganges, which is believed to have the power of washing away all of one's sins. As pundits here will tell you, whatever is sacrificed and chanted here or given in charity reaps its fruits thousand times more than those good deeds performed at other places because of the power of that place.
DAY 01: ARRIVE DELHI - Arrive Delhi by international flight. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 02: IN DELHI - Breakfast at the hotel. Morning sightseeing tour of Old Delhi visiting Jama Masjid and Rajghat, drive past Chandni Chowk and Red Fort. Later enjoy the city tour of New Delhi visiting Humayu's Tomb, drive past Presidential Palace, India Gate and other Government buildings. End your tour of New Delhi at Qutub Minar. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 03: DELHI - JAIPUR BY SURFACE (265 KMS / APPROX 5 HRS DRIVE) - Breakfast at the hotel. Morning leave for Jaipur. On arrival at Jaipur, check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 04: IN JAIPUR - Breakfast at the hotel. Morning excursion to Amber Fort along with Elephant ride. Afternoon you will be provided city tour of Jaipur visiting Maharaja's city Palace, the Royal observatory (Jantar Mantar) and drive past Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 05: JAIPUR - AGRA BY SURFACE (235 KMS / APPROX 5 HRS DRIVE) -
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning leave for Agra. En-route visit Fatehpur Sikri. On arrival at Agra, check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 06: IN AGRA -Visit Taj Mahal on sunrise. Return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, visit Agra Fort, Itmad-Ud-Daulah (Baby Taj) and Sikandra. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 07: AGRA - JHANSI AND ORCHHA BY TRAIN (SHATABDI EXPRESS OR TAJ EXPRESS) - Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning you will be transferred to the railway station to connect train for Jhansi. On arrival, you will transferred to the hotel in Orchha. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Orchha visiting various temple and Palaces. Visit Fort Palace of Raj Mahal, Jahangir Mahal, Diwan -I- Khas and last palace in the series Rai Praveen Mahal. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 08: ORCHHA - KHAJURAHO BY SURFACE (180 KMS / APPROX 5 HRS DRIVE) - Breakfast at the hotel. Morning leave for Khajuraho. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 09: KHAJURAHO - VARANASI BY AIR -
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visit the world famous western and eastern group of temples. Of the two groups of temples, important temples to visit are - Kandariya Mahadev, Chaunsath Yogini, Chitragupta, Lakshmana, Devi Jagdamba, Parvati, Vishvanath Temple and Nandi, Paraswanath and Adinath. Later you will be transferred to the airport to connect flight for Varanasi. On arrival in Varanasi, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. Evening witness Aarti ceremony on the banks of river Ganges by a boat. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 10: IN VARANASI - Early morning boat ride on river Ganges followed by city tour of Varanasi. Return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast excursion to Sarnath, the buried Buddhist city where lord Buddha preached his first sermon. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 11: VARANASI - DELHI BY AIR, LEAVE DELHI - Breakfast at the hotel. Morning is at leisure. In the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport to connect flight for Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, connect flight for onward destination (in case of same terminals) / transfer will be provided in case of different terminals.
